As the local Kingston group of the London Cycling Campaign, we campaign for better cycling facilities and safer, healthier streets for everyone across the borough, speaking up for children as well as adults.
From family events to leisurely rides, our goal is to make cycle campaigning positive, constructive and fun
From liaising with the council and feeding into local developments to organising regular bike rides for all experience levels and ages, our goal is to make cycling a fun and accessible way to explore Kingston, and beyond.
We promote cycling by:
- Organising a varied programme of bike rides, from family-friendly routes to more challenging cycling adventures. Read about our recent bike rides here and register for our next rides here
- Campaigning to persuade the borough and Transport for London to improve cycling facilities
- Liaising with the Kingston Council and TfL on the provision of local cycling facilities, lanes, paths and routes, including the Mini Holland schemes
- Supporting London Cycling Campaign’s Cycle Buddies scheme, a free service which connects new and experienced cyclists in the same area to help build confidence and be introduced to new routes
- Leading a ride to and from the annual summer RideLondon FreeCycle event in central London as well as L:ondon Cycling Campaign’s annual Women’s Freedom Ride
- Providing local cycling information for members, including ‘Get Cycling’, downloadable maps and directions for traffic-free and quiet rides, plus personal cycle route guides – request yours here

Boost your cycling confidence on our next fun-packed, free and family-friendly rides, designed with all ages and cycling abilities in mind:
- Sunday 28 April: An easy-paced 6-mile ride starting from Victoria Recreation Ground in Surbiton at 10.45am – register on https://tiny.cc/FunRideApril24.

Regular meetings
We usually have a monthly meeting every second Tuesday, and our next get-togethers will be Tuesday 14 May, 11 June & 9 July 2024, start 7.30pm at Kingston Environment centre, Kingston Rd, KT3 3PE. All are welcome to share their ideas and join us for a social beverage afterwards – come along to find out more about our campaigns.
